I loved China, thanks to China tours and Martha

I am writing to thank Martha and team for our wonderful trip to China, we had an amazing time. I am already thinking of my next trip to come with my husband and kids. All your guides were exceptional, everyone. I would love to come again with my family and have Kevin and Julia show us Beijing and Xian, hopefully we can book something with their availability.

Thank you again for taking care of every little detail, we felt cared and at home. Appreciate all what your team did for us, your guides definitely did it with genuine care ❤️. Will be getting in touch with you again. I loved China and thanks to China tours. Anyone looking for their first trip to this amazing country, don’t think twice China tours will not disspoint you.

Bucket List Memorable Trip !

First, we would like to thanked Martha for her great organizational skills, very accommodating and understanding as we have to postponed our trip from March to July 2024.

The trips were very well organized. All the tour guides from Kevin in Beijing, Helen in Xi’an and John in Shanghai were all very professional,
Knowledgeable about the historical aspects of each place, very kind and accommodating.

Everything was great and enjoyable, except the weather was not cooperating, it’s too hot and humid.

Fabulous 3 city tour (Hong Kong/Xi’an/Beijing) planned and executed by China Tours!

My family and I loved our recent private tour with China Tours! We started by working with Lora to plan our itinerary first. We let her know which cities we wanted to visit and what we wanted to see in each city. She was so responsive to my many questions and requests from providing information necessary to get our visas to making recommendations of when we should see the Terra Cotta soldiers based on our travel schedule to letting me know we were able to get entry tickets to see the Forbidden City. I felt very comfortable in a country where I didn’t speak the language because Lora was always available to provide assistance. When we arrived in each location, the guides and drivers were fantastic. I was able to connect with each guide prior to reaching the destination and they were always waiting for us. The guides, Chas in Hong Kong, Helen in Xi’an and William in Beijing were fabulous!!! They were all so accommodating and helpful. They knew their cities well and made great food recommendations! Since we were on a private tour, they were very willing to make adjustments based on what we wanted to do or see when prior reservations were not required. My husband, daughter and I are very grateful to Lora, Chas, Helen and William for providing us with such a wonderful experience in China! Thank you!

Great Experience with China Tours!

We had a great experience with China Tours. We traveled to the cities Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guilin and Shanghai. The organization was impeccable, the guides and drivers very professional. We would recommend the agency to others!

Book without a second thought

Our trip was delayed from 2020 with no problems. Martha responded to changes in our itinerary brilliantly.

There were two of us on our small group tour and the service was exceptional. Hotels were of a high standard and we were happy with them. All guides were enthusiastic and helpful, we only had to ask.

In the end we took high speed trains within China which we enjoyed as we got to see more of the country.

Perfect China Trip

The small group tour of Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai organised by China Tours was a great way to see these 3 fantastic cities of China. Each of the local guides Nancy (Beijing), Elysha (Xi’an) and Lucy (Shanghai) were very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting and had a passion for their jobs. They were all super helpful answering any questions and offering advice and tips for navigating each city in our own free time, including recommendations for places to eat and other attractions to see not covered by the tour. All the main attractions and sites were visited with plenty of time spent at each. The main highlights for me were the Forbidden City and Great Wall (Nancy took us to a great part of the wall that was not overcrowded) in Beijing and the Terracotta Army in Xi’an (including meeting the farmer who made the discovery in the 1970’s). It was not a rushed tour and was also flexible. In Xi’an because of the weather the itinerary order was changed to suit the group. Being a small escorted tour meant that you were not just one of many in the usual large group tours which made it more personal and enjoyable. A special mention for Nancy and Elysha who made suggestions, with no hidden agenda, in Beijing and Xi’an respectively to see live shows as add-ons which turned out to be unexpected delights. Martha of China Tours was very easy to deal with and was patient with all my requests and queries when booking the tour. Overall I can highly recommend China Tours if you plan to visit China and wish to arrange a tour. From start to finish everyone was extremely helpful and communicated in very good English.

Xian private tour

We went to Xian, Long Men and Yuntaishan on November 2023 with China Tours. The places visited was fantastic. Matha from China Tours arranged everything for us just perfect for our group of 8 people. In particularly, food were over expectation – lunches and dinners were a lot! Period. Last but not least, the guide, as we requested from Matha to have a Thai speaking guide through our trip, Mr. Ling is excellent, informative and helpful. Thank you to Matha, for her arrangement. I will surely use your company service again in my next trip to China.

5 days 4 nights tour at Beijing and Xi’an with Chinatours

I did a 5 days 4 nights solo private tour trip with “Chinatours.com” to Beijing and Xi’an. I am really satisfied with the itinerary and flexibility of how “Chinatours” allows me to add and customize my trip.

A little hiccup, when I arrived at Xi’An high speed rail station from Beijing, my tour guide, Helen when to a different station to wait for me as they have two different rail station. Despite this, I felt her sincerity to welcome me in Xi’an whilst she kept apologizing.

Upon arriving at the hotel, guess what? The hotel gave me a free upgrade to a Suite. A whole Suite by myself！Awesome！Wish I had more time to stay in the hotel room though but my itinerary was packed. I arrived pretty late that night. Regardless, the room was decorated to give this ancient China historical ambience. It’s huge and clean. Hotel name is Grand Mecure on Renminbi Square. Breakfast included. Breakfast was alright, I had better breakfast choices in Beijing.

Next morning, Helen (tour guide) arrived early to the hotel to pick me up and start my trip. I managed to squeezed through the crowds and got an impressive view of the Terra-cotta army!

Wow!!! It’s a must to come to Xi An and look at this army yourself.

Helen (tour guide) treated me to a popular terracotta shaped chocolate ice cream. She said to make up for the hiccup last night.

I bought a history book that is all in English. If you love reading history I recommend to buy the book.

We had some thick wide noodles for lunch. It’s called “Biang Biang Mian”.

In the evening, I went to walk the ancient City Wall. Saw the bell tower and drum tower too. Then I had dinner at the mall nearby the hotel.

Final day at Xi’An, started with a beautiful weather, visited Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi’an Museum. I went to watched a 30 mins Tang Dynasty musical instrument show. I recommend only people who are really interested to know more about Chinese music to attend.

Then I went to Great Mosque and walked along Muslim street. Try a giant BBQ squid, it was alright. Had the crispy chinese croissant with minced pork and wanton soup for lunch. Delicious!

Overall, Helen really took care of my needs and I love her knowledge on the history of China and Xi’An. I almost forgot, both tour guides from Beijing and Xi’An are bilingual. They are fluent in English. I had a really great time in China and I am definitely visiting China again in the near future! Cheers!

China Tour August 2023

Thank you so much to Martha who made sure our trip was amazing! All the tour guides and drivers throughout our stay, especially Helen in Xian, were fantastic! Our stay started in Beijing, Xian, cruise along the Yangtze River and finally Shanghai.

The cruise was surprising lovely and a much needed calm few days during this packed tour! Everything was simply wonderful and definitely will travel with you again! Thank you Martha!

A* star weekend in Xi’an, with China Tours

A* for a great booking and travelling experience. Martha was super responsive online during the booking process, and my two guides (Kevin in Beijing, Helen in Xi’an) were fantastic. Helen in particular was extremely knowledgeable on Chinese history and culture and fun to be with. Highly recommended
