We worked with Martha from China Tours.she was terrific in making all the arrangements. She was available by WeChat when we arrived in China. Hotels were top notch. The guides in each city were friendly and personable: . Ariel in Beijing , Elyshia in Xian and Warren in Shanghai. The guides assisted us at the airports or train station. Cars were comfortable. We chose China Tours because we were not interested in “ shopping tours “. We liked the guided visits to historic sights but liked having some free time to explore on our own. Would certainly use them again for future trips to China.

We just returned from a 15 day trip around China. Leading up to the holiday China Tours helped us immensely by providing feedback and information regarding our itinerary and told us about all the apps required to get by in China. We had 3 day tours with China Tours in Beijing, Xi’an and Chengdu with the amazing guides Kevin, Helen and Tracy who were very informative (spoke very good English) and took us to all the essential sights in China. China Tours went above and beyond to create an incredible experience for us which we will remember forever.
Exceptional Experience with ChinaTours!
We recently booked a private family vacation with ChinaTours.com for a week-long adventure in Xi’an and Luoyang, and it was nothing short of exceptional! The itinerary was perfectly crafted, allowing sufficient time to explore the iconic sites like the Terracotta Warriors and the breathtaking Longmen Grottoes and many more. Kudos to Ms. Lora of ChinaTours, everything was tailored to our interests, allowing us to explore hidden gems and local favourites. Our English-speaking guides, Felix (方洪杰) for Xi’an & Shirley (周丹丹) for Luoyang, were very knowledgeable and engaging, making history come alive for us. They were not only knowledgeable but also passionate about their cities, sharing stories and insights that enriched our experience beyond the typical tourist narratives. We had the opportunity to witness a few spectacular and mesmerizing cultural and historical performances at a grandeur scale, which added a personal touch to our understanding of the culture and history. The guides were very accommodating in the dining options, which allowed us to savour the delicious local cuisines of the Shaanxi and Henan provinces. The seamless transportation via the minivan and high-speed trains added to our travel experience, making everything relaxing and stress-free. Fantastic trip. Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Yangtze River cruise, Shanghai. Guides on time, knowledgeable and good company. Everything went like clockwork. Martha organised all our requests and answered questions promptly. Hotels amazing, cars and drivers professional. Prices much cheaper than UK companies. Would recommend China Tours to all. 5*

We fully enjoyed the tour. Beautiful landscapes and comfortable hotels met our expectations. All the tour guides are first rate, many times they went above and beyond our expectations.
A Day in Xi’an with Cathy
I really enjoyed my recent private tour with China Tours! I remembered I took a China Tours about 13 years ago in Beijing and since I had a long weekend during a recent business trip, I decided to take the chance on them again and booked on-line. Working with Martha via email on short notice and right before the National Holiday, she was able to arrange a 1-day private trip for me to the Terracotta Warriors, Mosque, and the Xi’an Wall with Cathy K. as my tour guide. Even before my tour began, Cathy reached out to me and gave suggested a few sites to visit in the city the afternoon I arrived.
Morning of, pick up time was confirmed via WeChat and Cathy picked me up in a nice minivan and was escorted all day by a VERY knowledgeable tour guide in Cathy. She knew the tour well, the sites visited and their history, shared many welcoming stories and information. Her English was almost perfect and welcoming after a long business trip. More importantly, she knew her city well and made several great food recommendations – local lunch was amazing and so were the pomegranates! She even helped me purchase some jade necklaces as gifts.
Although it rained all day long, Cathy kept the tour upbeat and engaging – cannot say that about my sneakers that did not make the trip home.
The next day, Cathy went the extra mile by making sure I made it to the airport and my flight chatting me Chinese phrases for both the taxi driver and check in counter to ensure if needed I would not miss my flight.
I would like to give a BIG “XIE XIE” to CATHY K – an outstanding tour guide (and food connoisseur)! I very much enjoyed my day (wishing I had longer) and look forward to my return and another China Tours tour with hopefully Cathy K again.
Amazing Trip with China Tours 2024
China is an amazing country to visit, and China Tours did an excellent job planning and arranging our itinerary. They handled all of the transportation and bookings for the hotels and sites. We went on the 12 day tour that included Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guilin and Shanghai. At each location we had knowledgeable local guide and there was ample free time to explore on our own. The accommodations were all 4-5 stars hotels in great locations and excellent breakfast.

I am writing to thank Martha and team for our wonderful trip to China, we had an amazing time. I am already thinking of my next trip to come with my husband and kids. All your guides were exceptional, everyone. I would love to come again with my family and have Kevin and Julia show us Beijing and Xian, hopefully we can book something with their availability.

First, we would like to thanked Martha for her great organizational skills, very accommodating and understanding as we have to postponed our trip from March to July 2024.

Knowledgeable about the historical aspects of each place, very kind and accommodating.
Everything was great and enjoyable, except the weather was not cooperating, it’s too hot and humid.

Fabulous 3 city tour (Hong Kong/Xi’an/Beijing) planned and executed by China Tours!
My family and I loved our recent private tour with China Tours! We started by working with Lora to plan our itinerary first. We let her know which cities we wanted to visit and what we wanted to see in each city. She was so responsive to my many questions and requests from providing information necessary to get our visas to making recommendations of when we should see the Terra Cotta soldiers based on our travel schedule to letting me know we were able to get entry tickets to see the Forbidden City. I felt very comfortable in a country where I didn’t speak the language because Lora was always available to provide assistance. When we arrived in each location, the guides and drivers were fantastic. I was able to connect with each guide prior to reaching the destination and they were always waiting for us. The guides, Chas in Hong Kong, Helen in Xi’an and William in Beijing were fabulous!!! They were all so accommodating and helpful. They knew their cities well and made great food recommendations! Since we were on a private tour, they were very willing to make adjustments based on what we wanted to do or see when prior reservations were not required. My husband, daughter and I are very grateful to Lora, Chas, Helen and William for providing us with such a wonderful experience in China! Thank you!
