Day 1 Arrive in Xian

Your guide will pick you up whenever your flight or train arrives in Xian, and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day will be left for your own to relax or stroll around places nearby.

Accommodation:
Luxury: Sofitel on Renmin Square, Xian (5 Star)
Superior: Grand Mercure on Renmin Square, Xian (4 Star)

Day 2 Xian (B)

The highlight of the tour today lies in the UENSCO-listed Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, which is reputed as the "8th wonder of the world". Dating from 210 BC, the life-sized warriors and horses there were not discovered until 1974 when local farmers dig water well. You cannot miss the fine craftsmanship and artistry for the fact that no two soldiers' faces are the same and even the facial expressions are different not to mention their different shapes and heights. The large quantity, well arranged battle formation, and carefully carved faces all show you the power of the Emperor and his strong afterlife belief.

Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses

After that, you will be transferred back to the city center to explore Xian City Wall, the best-preserved ancient fortifications in China. Here you can stroll along the walkway to admire its different sections and enjoy a panoramic view of its surroundings. Learn from your guide how this defensive system used to work and as you walk along the wall, you will also get a glimpse of the moat running peacefully outside the wall.

Continue the tour by visiting Great Mosque, the oldest and biggest Islamic mosque in China that has been built in mid-7th century combining both Chinese and Islamic architecture style. Around the mosque is Muslim Street, one of the best food streets in Xi’an where you can find most symbolic local eats. Plus, it is also a good place for seeking local souvenirs.

Before you are transferred back to hotel, the guide will take you to the nearby Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square for some great photo opportunities.

Day 3 Depart from Xian (B)

Move to another famous historical site in Xi’an--Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Being built in 707 AD, this 15-tiered structure is one of the two most significant Buddhist pagodas in Xian. And your guide will explain to you how it survived the two great earthquakes in Chinese history and still stands firm till today. The walk in the temple will be peaceful and tranquil.
