After the essence tour of Shanghai, take a chance to visit the popular Huangshan for its special pine, strange stone, cloud sea and hot spring. Flight from Shanghai to Huangshan is included.

Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai

Your guide will greet you outside the baggage claim area at the airport with a welcoming sign and then take you to the pre-booked hotel.

Day 2 Shanghai

This morning commence your tour of Shanghai with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, a massive museum housing over 140,000 pieces of artifacts, displaying the history and cultural scene of Shanghai. Later you would take a walk at The Bund, the most prestigious landmark and best-preserved demonstration to the glamour of the old Shanghai, and Nanjing Road, the busiest shopping area in the metropolis or even across the whole China. Afterwards, visit Yuyuan Garden where you can marvel at the peaceful view of the garden and have the most local experience by strolling around the nearby Yuyuan Market and learn some bargaining skill from the local Chinese, and then drive to New Spot (XinTianDi) where you can either appreciate the old style buildings of shanghai like it’s in 1920s or enjoy the modern insides of these buildings. After the whole day’s exploration, you will be transferred to your hotel. (B)

Note: Shanghai Museum is closed to public on Mondays, then Shanghai History Museum will be arranged on the day instead.

Day 3 Shanghai-Huangshan

Today you will be transferred to the railway station to catch the high speed rail train heading to Huangshan. Upon arrival, the local guide will pick you up and take you to the hotel. If time permits, head for the Tunxi Ancient Street with red stone paved road, Hui (short name of Anhui Province) style constructions, Chinese paintings, traditional tea houses and a lot of other local shops. (B)

Day 4 Huangshan

After breakfast, head for the Huangshan Mountain, cable car is arranged to take you uphill. You will drop by multiple sites such as the lofty Brush Pen Peak, the towering Begin-to-Believe Peak, the majestic Lion Peak, and the Xihai Grand Canyon. Huangshan Mountain is famous for its beautiful landscape, granite peaks, seas of clouds, and special pine trees shaped like the gestures of receiving or seeing off guests that you will witness while hiking. At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset view from the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. Stay at the summit of the mountain for a peaceful and fresh night. (B+L+D)

 Huangshan Mountain

Day 5 Huangshan- Yi County and departure

Get up in the early morning and catch the spectacular sunrise scene on Huangshan Mountain this morning, if the weather is fine. Enjoy some free time and then travel downhill by cable car and drive to Yi County, which was built in Qin Dynasty with more than 2,200 years of history and now holding over 3,600 ancient residences from various eras. The place's most exciting highlight would be Hongcun, dubbed as "a village in a Chinese Painting" , one of the locations served as backdrop in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" . It is included in the World Heritage Site list by UNESCO in 2000 for its interesting water-buffalo-shaped layout, and innovating architectural idea- a crisscross waterway system.

Your tour concludes with transfer to Huangshan airport for your departing flight. (B+L)
