Day 1

Arrive in Beijing

Your guide will greet you outside the baggage claim area at the Beijing Capital Airport with a welcoming sign and then take you to the pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day will be left on your own to explore this amazing city.

Day 2

Beijing

Begin your explorations in Beijing today by paying a visit first to the largest city square across the world, Tiananmen Square. The square is one of the most beloved sites among Chinese citizens, especially the flag raising and lowering ritual held here at dawn and dusk, draws in scores of spectators every day. Opposite to the square across the road is the magnificent Forbidden City, one of the most recognizable landmarks and cultural symbols of China as the former royal residence for five centuries. Afterwards, embark on a ride to Fragrance Hill, 25km outside downtown Beijing, the most favorable park with over 900 years history and renowned for its sea of maple trees, also drop by the Biyun Temple on the north side of the park and Wofo Temple on the east. (B)

Day 3

Beijing

In the morning, you will be taken to visit the Changling Tomb, the first and best preserved tomb of the 13 ones burying emperors, empress and hundreds of royal members from Ming Dynasty. Afterwards, continue on to the Mutianyu Great Wall, a comparatively less tourist-trodden part of the 1,400-year-old fortification system. An easy, comfortable round trip cable car transfer over the picturesque scenery is included while certain amount of time would be given for you to climb the wall. (B)

Day 4

Beijing

Today's excursion takes you to the Baiyun Monastery, a Taoist monastery dating back to the 8 century, with scores of precious artifacts in store; and Temple of Heaven, where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties performed ceremonies and rituals to pray for good harvest and blessing on the country. Afterwards, go on to tour around Lama Temple, former residence of the fourth son of Emperor Kangxi but later transformed as a Buddhist Temple, and then visit Confucian temple. (B)

Day 5

Beijing

Today's sightseeing takes you to Tanzhe Temple, which is believed to be one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Beijing area, constructed around 316AD, and Jietai Temple, with the biggest precept platform of China and series artifacts from Liao Dynasty. Later, continue on to Summer Palace, the massive garden and summer resort for royal members only during the imperial times. (B)

Day 6

Beijing-Hebei Province-Beijing

Drive you to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty, located at the neighboring Hebei Province and spend a day there since the site is massive and overwhelming. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to the hotel in Beijing. (B)

Day 7

Depart from Beijing

The tour guide will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to the airport to catch your departing flight. (B)
