Detail Itinerary

The tour starts at 9:00 in the morning. Please arrive the designated meeting place – Regent Beijing (Add: 99 Jin Bao Street, DongCheng District, Beijing )10 minutes in advance. Your guide will meet you at the lobby of the hotel.

Take a 7 minutes-walk to the bus stop at XinDongAn Market, hop on Beijing Vintage Tram Bus for a 15-minute sightseeing ride. The tram takes you a tour past some of Beijing main attractions and landmarks, like Tiananmen Square, Great Hall of the People, etc. The destination is QianMen, former south city gate of Beijing.

Beijing Qianmen Street

Stroll down the QianMen Pedestrian Street, you will pass Madame Tussauds Beijing (opened in 2014), Da Guan Lou Cinema (the oldest cinema in Beijing), visit some time-honored brands (for example, Ruifuxiang, a famous store for tailor-made clothes.) in DaShiLan Commercial District. Keep walking along TieShu XieJie Street, you will reach HuGuang Guild Hall, an old complex of buildings converted into the renowned Beijing opera theater. You can enjoy a 20 minutes visit here.

You will then walk north for about 10-15 minutes to get to the LiuLiChang Culture Street, a famous district that selling antiques, craftworks, artistry. Among those special shops and stores, RongBaoZhai is famous for both its collection of calligraphy &painting, and its excellent array of “four treasures of the study” (brushes, ink, paper and ink stones). This traditional Chinese stone dwellings area is really a favorite haunt for history buffs and culture lovers.

Beijing Liulichang Culture Street

Keep heading north for 400 meters to take Subway Line 2 at HePingMen Station, arrive AnDingMen Station after 9 stops. Start to stroll along the WuDaoYing Hutong to explore the new up-and-coming hutong area where chic restaurants, cafes and boutique shops mix with traditional courtyard residences, offering a perfect combination of East and West. Enjoy your optional lunch at any restaurant or café. You can ask your guide for the recommendation.

After lunch, take a 10 minutes-walk to the KongMiao (Confucius Temple) and GuoZiJian (also known as the Imperial Academy), which is the highest institution of learning back in ancient China. Take time to enjoy the tranquility of the area and its rich legacy, you will gain more insights into Confucius’s philosophy and Chinese education in imperial time. (On the day KongMiao (Confucius Temple) and GuoZiJian closed, alternatively, you will visit YongHeGong (The Lama Temple) a well-preserved lamasery with a history of 300 years.)

Beijing Guozijian

Any cancellation by you should be initiated by email to tours@chinatours.com.
All cancellations will be subject to the following cancellation charges from the date the written cancellation is received:

• More than 7 days prior to departure date: no penalty will be deducted.

• 4-7 days prior to departure date: deduct 50% of the full payment.

• No more than 3 days prior to departure date: deduct 100% of the full payment.

• While the tour is in progress, any programs missed because of individual behaviors such as early departure, late arrival or attractions cancellation cannot be refunded.
