Day 1

Arrive in Beijing

Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be met outside the baggage claim area and driven to your hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you to enjoy this amazing city.

Day 2

Beijing

Begin your explorations in Beijing by paying a visit to the largest city square in the world, Tiananmen Square. We make our way across the road to the magnificent Forbidden City, one of the most recognizable landmarks and cultural symbols of China as the former royal residence for five centuries. After the tour of the Forbidden City the day continues with a visit to Summer Palace, the massive garden and summer resort for royal members only during the imperial times. (B)

Day 3

Beijing

Today, the first stop is the Mutianyu Great Wall, a comparatively less tourist-trodden part of the 1,400-year-old fortification system. An easy, comfortable round-trip cable car transfer over the picturesque scenery is included while certain amount of time would be given for you to climb the wall. On the way back to downtown, you will have a stopover at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. You will hop on a rickshaw for a Hutong Tour through the most characteristic, maze-like neighborhood. Back to the hotel after the trip. (B)

Day 4

Beijing-Xian

The sightseeing today starts with a visit to the remarkable Temple of Heaven, where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties performed ceremonies and rituals to pray for good harvest and blessing on the country. Afterwards, you would be taken to the railway station for the high speed rail train to Xian, which takes approximately 5 hours, and along the way, feel free to admire a totally different scenery of the countryside. Upon arriving at the Xian North Station, the tour guide would pick you up and escort you to the hotel. (B)

Day 5

Xian

The highlight of the touring planned for you today is the world-renowned Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. This site is reputed as the largest underground military base in the world. In the afternoon, head for the Xian Museum, a museum housing 130,000 pieces of archeological items and then to explore the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the two most significant Buddhist pagodas in Xian, which was built around early 8th century. (B)

Day 6

Xian-Chongqing

Today you will have the opportunity to explore the ancient Xian City Wall, the largest and best-preserved wall extant in China now, running 13.75km, enclosing the old capital. In the middle of the old block of Xian stands the Great Mosque, the oldest and biggest Islamic mosque in the country, determined to have been built in mid-7th century. Also we would stop at the nearby Bell Tower & Drum Tower Square for some great photo opportunities. After that, drive to the airport to catch the flight heading Chongqing. Upon arrival, you would be taken to visit the Ciqikou Old Town if time permits. Later, you will embark on the luxury Yangtze River Cruise ship which will weigh anchor at 9:30pm. There is a necessary Safety, Orientation & River Briefing presentation waiting for you upon embarkation. (B)

Note: Dinner is not included, you should arrange by yourself before board the cruise or after on board.

Day 7

Yangtze River Cruise

Sail along the Yangtze River today and take the opportunity to go ashore for an excursion to Fengdu Ghost City or Shibaozhai, depending on the water level condition or different cruises. The exciting Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening.  Sit back and enjoy the Chinese folk dancing and music performance. (B+L+D)

Day 8

Yangtze River Cruise

Today continue sailing along the Yangtze River where you will encounter the charming sights of the spectacular Qutang Gorge and the pretty Wu Gorge. Your knowledgeable river guide will provide you with information about the Three Gorges area including the Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang Stairway and Hanging Coffins. Dock at Badong and enjoy the natural beauty along the crystal Shennong Stream by taking a small wooden boat tour or enjoy shore excursion to Lesser Three Gorges. Return to the cruise and continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. Tonight the ship Farewell Party invites you to join the excellent performance by the cruise staff.  (B+L+D)

Day 9

Yichang-Shanghai

After breakfast, disembark at Maoping Pier of Yichang, then you will take a bus to join the shore excursion to the grandest hydroelectric project in the world, the Three Gorges Dam. Indulge yourself with a tour around the colossal dam and perhaps the phenomenal scene of millions of tons of water being discharged if it happens to be rain season. After the tour in late morning, the cruise will provide a shuttle bus transfer you to Yichang Three Gorges Tourism Center, you will be met by your guide there. Then be transferred to the airport for your flight towards Shanghai. Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up at Shanghai airport and transfer to the hotel. (B)

Note: Optional excursion is provided, disembark at Maoping Pier then board sightseeing-ferry sailing through TGP Ship's elevator to enjoy the tour of the Three Gorges Dam, which should be paid on board if you'd like to join in.

Day 10

Shanghai

This morning commence your tour of Shanghai with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, a massive museum housing over 140,000 pieces of artifacts, displaying the history and cultural scene of Shanghai. Afterwards take a walk at The Bund, the most prestigious landmark and best-preserved demonstration to the glamour of the old Shanghai, and Nanjing Road, the busiest shopping area in the metropolis or even across the whole China. In the afternoon, visit Yuyuan Garden, where you can marvel at the stunning view of the garden and enjoy a local experience by strolling around the nearby Chenghuang Miao bazaars, and New Spot (XinTianDi). (B)

Note: Shanghai Museum is closed to public on Mondays, then Shanghai History Museum will be arranged on the day instead.

Day 11

Shanghai-Siem Reap

Today you will be met by your tour guide at your hotel and then transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. You will be greeted at the airport by an English speaking guide upon arrival and then transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 12

Siem Reap

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you to the south gate of Angkor Thom, the entrance to the once-remarkable capital of the Khmer Empire. The historical site encompasses series of eminent structures such as the Bayon Temple, the sacred temple standing at the heart of the ruin site, famed for its uncountable exquisite carvings; and Elephant Terrace, a platform decorated with imposing elephant figures at the bottom. In the afternoon, head for the proudest treasure of Cambodia and one of the greatest wonders of the ancient world, the Angkor Wat; followed by a hike to the nearby Bakheng Temple, a perfect spot to catch a stunning sunset view over the Angkor Wat, if the weather permits. (B)

Day 13

Siem Reap-Bangkok

This is the last day of your Siem Reap tour, and the rhythm of today is easy and lazy. In the morning, you will visit a Khmer Village, to admire the rural yet delicate beauty of the rice field and palm trees there. Then, board on a cruise to float around the Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and the lifeline for several villages. Then, our guide will escort you to the airport for the flight heading Bangkok. After check-in, you can take your time to explore the city by yourself, or stay in the hotel to have a proper rest. (B)

Day 14

Bangkok

After breakfast, you will embark on today's journey with the Wat Po, or more commonly known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, for the overwhelming reclining Buddha displayed inside. Move on to the nearby Grand Palace, the luxurious, sprawling complex of former residence of multiple kings from the feudal times. Next stop of the day would be Wat Arun, literally meaning "Temple of Dawn", dedicated to the Hindu god Aruna. After that drive to visit the Wat Traimit, a resplendent temple built to enshrine the largest solid gold statue in the world, weighing over 5 tons. (B)

Day 15

Bangkok-Ayutthaya-Bangkok

In the morning, you will be met by your guide and taken to the former capital of the nation, Ayutthaya. Upon arrival, you would firstly stop by the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, a royal resident of summer back in the imperial times, standing by the beautiful Chao Phraya River. Following that, you would be guided to the Wat Yai Chaimongkhol. Then explore the Wat Mahathat, a royal temple noted for a Buddha head entwined among the roots of old trees. After reaching Bangkok, the rest of the day is open to your own agenda to explore the city. (B)

Day 16

Departure from Bangkok

Your tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your homeward flight. Your memorable journey ends here. (B)
