Shibaozhai
Shibaozhai, a 12-leveled tower, stands on the mountain top facing the Yangtze River. It was first built in Qing Dynasty, 300 years ago. It boasts unique architecture and is regarded as a pearl in the Three Gorges Journey. It looks like a big jade seal, so it’s also called Jade Seal Mountain. There is a legend about it: Nuwa, the goddess creating Chinese people, selected many colorful stones to mend the broken sky. One of the stones dropped to here and turned into this beautiful tower.

Three Gorges Dam
Located in west part of Yichang city, the Three Gorges Project Dam Site, the largest water conservancy project constructed in the world, is functioned as a backbone in the flood control system to protect the areas in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
