In general the guides were very good. the majority spoke good english. some easier to understand than others. our favourite guides were Coco and freddy who made a real effort and helped make our trip very enjoyable.we went to a souvenir shop per city, did not mind going as they were quite interesting and did not feel pressured to buy anything....

I never thought it would be so wonderful. China is a country everyone should see. I am glad we got to see China in 2011 since China is changing and modernizing so rapidly. We saw a bit of the old China when Wendy took us into a hutong in Beijing; what a wonderful thing it was to meet and talk to a resident of traditional China! We will not forget that kind woman who welcomed us into her house. She told us about her parents and her life there in the hutong. We arrived at her house by rickshaw! Can you get closer to authentic China than that?! ...

The lunches and dinner were enjoyable but I didn’t really think of the cuisine exceptional. I did enjoy the dumpling dinner. I didn’t like the Yak meat in Tibet but the lamb chops were delicious. The serving was too much for two people. ...

Kevin was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining in detail the rich history of Xian. Our idea of a private tour was to proceed at our own pace and make impromptu adjustments where plausible. We didn’t follow the planned itinerary exactly as planned but we didn’t miss out anything....

The visits we most liked were the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, the whole area of Guilin, Yangshuo and Longshen, with its incredible scenery, lush nature and ethnic minorities, really impressive... The city of Lijiang and... the visit to the pandas in Chengdu, spectacular! In general we take with us a pleasant memory of our visit to your fantastic country!...

All the meals were nice and we had so much to eat. We loved especially the Peking Duck, the Xian flavoured lunch and the dumpling dinner. My family and I are particularly happy to have met you in person just before the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show....
