 Tour Itinerary : 16 Days tour of Beijing, Xian, Lhasa, Chongqing, Yichang and Shanghai
 Departure : Based on the cruise sailing date.
 Tour Summary : Along this tour, you can appreciate the magnificent Great Wall and Forbidden City in Beijing, view the world famous Terra-Cotta Army in Xian, visit the Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in Lhasa, enjoy the exquisite natural beauty of Yangtze River etc.

Detailed Itinerary of This Tour Package

Day 1 - Arrive in Beijing

Our guide will hold a warm welcome to you upon your arrival in Beijing. After check in the hotel, the rest of the day will be on your own to adapt the time difference and relax yourselves.
Accommodation : Xuanwumen Hotel, Beijing (Yue Xiu Hotel, Beijing)

Day 2 - Beijing

Our guide will meet you at the hotel lobby according to the appointed time, and drive you to Badaling Great Wall, one of the best known Eight World Wonders. After having lunch at a well-investigated restaurant, transfer to visit Ming Tombs. You could reach Ming Tombs through Sacred Way, the main road leading to Ming Tombs. On the way back to the downtownl, the guide will take you to see the famous Bird's Nest and Water Cube, which were built for the Olympic Game of 2008. You can walk around, and have a photo stop there. Drive back to the hotel, you could have a good rest after one day's exciting tour. (B+L)

Day 3 - Beijing

Hotel breakfast is arranged only; today is left on your own to arrange your activities based on your preference. You are highly recommended to view Hutong by rickshaw, and experience the traditional life of local citizen. Besides, you can also visit Beijing Zoo to see the lovely pandas etc. (B)

Day 4 - Beijing-Xian

Transfer to visit Summer Palace, the imperial palace for the ancient emperors in the morning, Temple of Heaven, the place where the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties offered sacrifices to Heaven to pray for good harvests, and Lama Temple. After dinner, transfer you to the railway station and take an over night soft-sleeper train to Xian. (B+L+D)

Day 5 - Xian

The guide will greet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, your Xian tour starts. Drive to  Terracotta Army, which has attracted people from all over the world, including world leaders, artists, archaeologists and Chinese art lovers etc due to its discovery. After lunch, take you to Banpo Neolithic Village  Then Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is regarded as the landmark of the Xian city is followed by. Dinner will be left on yourselves to taste the local snacks. (B+L)

Day 6 - Xian

The hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided only. The day is left on your own to arrange your activities; you are suggested to visit the well-preserved Xian City Wall to experience the atmosphere of the ancient city, and the Great Mosque, you can also have some free time to explore the busy Muslim Food Street near the Mosque by yourselves. (B)

Optional activities: Today we also have optional tour for lovely pandas. We will transfer you to Zhouzhi National Nature Reserve, which is specialized in wild giant pandas and other rare wild animals, e.g. golden monkey, crested Ibis and other kinds of rare birds and animals, where you will find various information about the Giant Panda and you will enter into a world filled with the wildlife.

Day 7 - Xian-Lhasa

Pay a visit to Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to airport. Then board a flight to Lhasa. Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, is your next destination. Standing at a dizzying 3,600 meters above sea level, you will need the rest of day to adapt to the high altitude and should avoid excessive physical activity to prevent altitude sickness. (B+D)

Day 8 - Lhasa

After breakfast, start to appreciate the first and most important attraction- Potala Palace with a holy heart. Potala Palace is regarded as the iconic symbol of Tibet, and has long been enmeshed in the collective dreams of many travelers to this mystical region. After lunch, pay a visit to Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery and spiritual center of Tibet and Bhakhor Street, a quadrangle-shaped bustling bazaar surround Jokhang Temple. (B+L+D)

Day 9 - Lhasa

Today's excursion starts with Norbulingka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, and Tibet Museum with a permanent collection that celebrates the History of Tibetan Culture in the morning. After lunch, go to visit the Sera Monastery, one of the three most famous monasteries in Lhasa. The monks at Sera Monastery debate Doctrines almost every day, you could see the debating of Buddhist Doctrines, and be deeply impressed by the intense atmosphere. (B+L+D)

Day 10 - Lhasa-Chongqing

Transfer to have a Tibetan Family Visit to experience their daily life. After lunch, board a flight to Chongqing. Our local guide will meet you at Chongqing airport. After dinner, you will embark the President Cruises ship Which sailing starts at 22:00 .And there is a necessary Safety, Orientation & River Briefing presentation for you. (B+L+D)

Day 11 - Yangtze River

Today there is a shore excursion to the famous Ghost City,  is considered to be the best place for people to learn about Chinese ghost culture, as Fengdu County has its own unique culture concerned with ghosts and the afterlife. Due to the river condition, Shibaozhai may be arranged alternatively.
In the evening, the elegant and exciting Captain's Welcome Party will be held. You can enjoy the traditional Chinese folk dancing and music performance, and even take part in it if you like. Stay overnight on the cruse. (B+L+D)

Day 12 - Yangtze River

The cruise will pass the spectacular Qutang Gorge and attractive Wu Gorges in the morning, you can fully appreciate their unique and typical natural sceneries standing on the deck of the ship, and get more information from the river guide about the Three Gorges etc. Today, another exciting attraction is Shennong Stream. There will be a small wooden boat trip along Shennong Stream for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Return to the ship and continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. The Farewell Party starts at about 19:00. And the get-together at 20:30 invites you to join in the cruise staff's performance. (B+L+D)

Day 13 - Yichang-Shanghai

After breakfast, take a shuttle bus to see the magnificent project of Three Gorges Dam, which is considered as the climax of Yangze River Cruise and you will surely impressed by the wisdom of Chinese people. After lunch, the ship will arrive in Yichang dock at around 12:00. Our guide will meet you on board and transfer you to take your flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival, our guide will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 14 - Shanghai

In the morning, the first day excursion is Shanghai Museum, which possesses a collection of 120,000 pieces, and is highly acclaimed internationally. Then Yuyuan Garden is followed by. As the quintessence of Southern Chinese landscape design in the Ming and Qing Dynasty, Yuyuan Garden takes the fancy of more and more foreigners. You are provided some free time to stroll around. In the afternoon, continue to Jade Buddha Temple, where the two Jade Buddhist Statues kept, you may be moved by the peaceful and solemn atmosphere. (B+L)

Day 15 - Shanghai

Today is free for you to absorb something of the modern atmosphere of Shanghai. You are suggested to visit to French Concession, and Xintiandi area where you can also pay a visit to the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. In addition, you can take the Huangpu River Cruise to enjoy the beautiful scenery around. (B)

Day 16 - Shanghai

Please arrange your own transportation to the airport and board your homeward flight by yourselves. Service ends. (B)
