Arrive in Beijing  
Meet our guide upon arrival and airport to hotel transfer. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Accommodation : Xuanwumen Hotel, Beijing (Yue Xiu Hotel, Beijing)

Today you will begin to explore the ancient city, Beijing. Head for the grand Tiananmen Square, where the square is flanked by The Great Hall of the People (west), The Museum of the Chinese Revolution and The Museum of Chinese History (east). Chairman Mao's mausoleum and Qianmen (Front Gate) sit in the south of the square. And then visit majestic Forbidden City, which was the place where the emperors of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties lived and carried out their administration. After lunch, visit Temple of Heaven where ancient emperors worshipped and prayed for harvest. (B+L)

Proceed to the famed Badaling Great Wall here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along. The Great Wall, zigzagging over 6,000 kilometres from east to west along the undulating mountains, and said to be visible from the moon, was built to hold off tribal invaders from the north. After lunch, continue to Ming Tombs through Sacred Way. On the way back to the city, you will have a photo stop at the Olympic Stadium, nicknamed Bird's Nest and the National Swimming Centre, also known as the Water Cube. (B+L)

Beijing-Datong  
Go on to explore the city by visiting the beautiful Summer Palace, where the grounds include over 3,000 structures with a variety of pavilions, towers and arched bridges surrounding Lake Kunming. Continuing the tour, you will experience the Chinese traditional life style in the Hutong area by rickshaws. Private transfer takes you to the railway station and take a train to Datong. Meet our guide upon arrival at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

As another ancient city, Datong boasts many must-see attractions. Your tour will cover all of them including one of the Four Grottoes in China, Yungang Grottoes, which represents the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China. Continuing the tour, you will pay a visit to the spectacular Huayan Monastery, the splendid Nine-Dragon Screen and Shanhua Monastery. (B+L)

Datong - Pingyao  
Today you will be transferred to another ancient city, Pingyao, which is a well preserved ancient town filled with remarkable ancient Chinese architecture. On the way, pay a visit to the featured Hanging Temple in Mt. Hengshan, where all buildings in the temple were hung on the crag at the slope of Hengshan Mountain, and then see the Wooden Pagoda in Ying County. (B+L)

Your whole day sightseeing in Pingyao Ancient Town covers all of the remarkable ancient Chinese architecture, like Rishengchang Draft Bank, Ancient City Wall and Ming and Qing Street, etc. (B+L)

Pingyao - Taiyuan  
See the large and magnificent Qiao Family Compound and the ancient Shuanglin Monastery in the morning. Private transfer takes you to Taiyuan and on the way, visit Jinci Temple, which is a combination of historical cultural relics and beautiful landscape. Then see you off at the airport. Service ends.
