The highlight of your trip today as you will pay a visit to the famed Badaling Great Wall in the morning. The Great Wall, zigzagging over 6,000 kilometres from east to west along the undulating mountains, and said to be visible from the moon, was built to hold off tribal invaders from the north. Reach Ming Tombs through Sacred Way. Ming Tombs is where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried, and the area is collectively known as the Ming Tombs. On the way back to the city, you will have a photo stop at the Olympic Stadium, nicknamed Bird's Nest and the National Swimming Centre, also known as the Water Cube. (L)
