 Tour Summary : You will spend 5 days touring in Beijing and the nearby summer resort, Chengdu, covering most of the must-see sites with Temple of Heaven, Badaling Great Wall and so on, and the excursion to Chengde city for its famous Chengde Summer Resort Scenic Spot and Mini Potala Palace will definitely fill in more interests to your trip.
 What's Special : An extension tour to the summer resort, Chengde, will fill in more interests to your trip, which will take about 4 hours train ride.

Detailed Itinerary of This Tour Package

Day 1 - Arrive in Beijing

Meet our guide upon arrival and airport to hotel transfer. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Accommodation : Beijing Marriott Hotel City Wall

Day 2 - Beijing

Head for the world's largest city square and enduring symbol of China's national pride, Tiananmen Square, and the majestic Forbidden City, where the emperors of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties lived and carried out their administration. After lunch, transfer to visit the impressive Temple of Heaven, where the emperor conducted the elaborate and most exalted sacrifices addressed to "the Supreme Ruler of the Universe." during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Enjoy a palatable Peking Duck Banquet for dinner in a notable restaurant followed by a classic Peking Opera. (B+L+D)

Day 3 - Beijing

Our local guide will accompany with you to Mutianyu Great Wall, where is a less-crowded section of the Great Wall is a about 2.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. A cable car takes you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watch towers and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains. Enjoy the special lunch in a featured local style restaurant. Reach Ming Tombs through Sacred Way. Ming Tombs is where 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) were buried, and the area is collectively known as the Ming Tombs. On the way back to the hotel, our guide will take you to see the famous Bird's Nest and Water Cube, which were built for the Olympic Game of 2008. You can walk around, and have a photo stop there. Drive back to the hotel, you could have a good rest after one day's exciting tour. (B+L)

Day 4 - Beijing-Chengde

Hotel to railway station transfer and take a train to Chengde. Meet our guide upon arrival at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. After a nice lunch, head to our first destination -Chengde Summer Resort Scenic Spot. The resort is the largest imperial garden from the Qing dynasty, twice as big as Beijing's Summer Palace. (B+L)

Day 5 - Chengde-Beijing

Today you will go to visit Puning Temple and Putuozongsheng Temple - also known as the "Mini Potala Palace" for its stylistic resemblance to the famed Potala Palace in Tibet. After enjoying a delicious lunch, transfer you to the railway station to take the train to Beijing, our guide in Beijing will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 6 - Departure from Beijing

Meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to visit the Summer Palace which was a royal garden in Qing dynasty. After the a la carte lunch, transfer you to the airport to take your homeward flight, our service ends here. (B+L)
