Brief information on Xian
Xian, as one of the oldest cities in Chinese history, it is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China, because it has been the capital of 13 most important dynasties in Chinese history. It is also the eastern terminus of the Silk Road and well known for the site of the Terracotta Army, made during the Qin Dynasty.
Why tour Xian: As one of China’s most popular tourist destinations, The city has many important historical sites, and some are ongoing archaeological projects, such as the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and his Terracotta Army. As one of the eight world wonders, Terracotta Worriers and horses attracts innumerous tourist home and abroad coming to visit.
What to see & do in Xian: Xi’an, a city drenched in history and culture retrospect to one million years ago,is dotted with the most mysterious and the fascinated tourist attractions in the country. The city is surrounded by a completed preserved City wall of Xi’an which was re-constructed in the 14th century during the early Ming Dynasty; The Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang and his Terracotta Army which is one of the world’s eight wonders are located 40 km to the east of the city center, in the city’s suburbs. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a spectacular tower which over 1,000 years old and have survived great earthquakes. The Stele Forest is famous for its numerous historic inscriptions and stone works and so on.
When to visit Xian:Xian is a city suit any season to visit, it enjoys four distinct seasons with warm spring, hot summer, cool autumn and dry winter. However. March to May and September to November are the best time to visit for tourist.
