Brief information on Huangshan

Huangshan is a prefecture-level city located in southern Anhui province. The city is surrounded by the famous Huangshan Mountain. The urban area of the city is originally Tunxi, which is now a district of the city. The city is formerly named Huizhou, and now is named Huangshan to reflect the cultural and touristic preeminence of the Yellow Mountain.  The city is famous for its tourism resources including the renowned Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain), and the picturesque ancient villages like Xidi, Hongcun etc


Why tour Huangshan: Huangshan is famous for its profound culture, history and natural beauty. There are lots of historical relics and natural wonder which well worth a visit in Huangshan City. The first should be the most beautiful mountain in China-Yellow Mountain, which is included on UNESCO’s World Cultural and Natural Heritage list and is a real testament to the beauty that only nature can create. When to visit Huangshan:Huangshan enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinctive seasons, moderate and moist climate. Its annual average temperature is about 16℃. Rainfall here are plentiful, the annual precipitation can reach to about 1,000 millimeter. Yellow Mountain falls closely to the Ocean Climate with annual temperature of 7.8℃ and annual precipitation of 2359 millimeters. Rainfall is mainly in April, May and June. The best time to visit Huangshan is from April to November. Although winter is very cold, Huangshan still attracts people with its special beauty in Winter. If you plan to visit in winter, please take enough warm clothes to protect you from the coldness.
