A bit run down on exterior, but the inside is pretty good. As a brand new hotel, the facilities can be equivalent to 4 plus even 5 star hotels’. The location of this hotel is not really “downtown”, but it’s so convenient to get to the Great Wall as well as the airport from hotel since you don’t need to drive into the city in traffics. This could be a bonus for those who only stay in short but afraid of wasting precious time in the world well-known traffic jam in Beijing. Free internet Access and Wi-Fi Service is thoughtful.

“A great hotel to stay”
I booked and stayed at the Mercure Beijing Downtown based on reviews from TripAdvisor. It really is a great hotel there have a beautiful fountain in the entrance of the hotels, it's convenience for us to take line 1 subway to go Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City The staffs are very helpful and the facilities are excellent.
“Good stay”
Modern hotel-opened one year ago. Room’s in good size with very comfortable beds and wonderful bedclothes. Sleeping was very good after a very long travel. The room has a bar with a kettle for tea/ coffee and two bottles of water, replenished daily. The hotel also has internet connection in rooms and in lobby two Mac computers for hotel guests.
